Rachel is an interior designer and stylist with a passion for creating spaces that feel personal, comfortable, and one-of-a-kind. Now the Creative Director of Umber & Edge, she began her career in the United States before settling in Sydney, Australia in 2017. Her approach is all about weaving in a client’s personal details and treasured pieces, while building layered palettes of materials and colours that make each space feel authentic.

With few distractions in her small hometown, Rachel spent her early years teaming up with her mom to refresh and reimagine spaces in their house. Each project, no matter how small, always began with a comprehensive plan — from rearranging furniture to experimenting with colour and hunting for budget-friendly finds. Those early projects gave her a first glimpse into a lifelong passion for design, and instilled the belief she carries into every project today: that great spaces are created with intention, not impulse, and can be achieved at nearly any budget.
